The Roland TR-909 is now a legend, but it wasn’t always this way. The TR-909 was produced from 1983-1985, it’s production deemed a commercial failure. The TR-909’s failure made it cheap. It’s affordable nature made it attractive to musicians. Musicians like “Larry Heard” and “808 State” using the drum machine to great effect. Further developing the burgeoning world of dance music.
The TR-909 was a late bloomer, but it’s influence can not be overstated. This makes it’s inclusion vital.
