Description
Necklaces were a unisex accessory in ancient Egypt. It is very common to find jewellery and necklaces made of beads and semi precious stones. With modern technology and geographical knowledge we can find the origins of these stones, which tells us about trading connections in this period.
Asru, as a woman of nobility, likely wore necklaces such as this one in her lifetime. This necklace is made of beadwork and faience, which is a type of glazed ceramic ware.
